About AMCC

The American Matchcover Collecting Club was founded in 1986 and formed out of a need for an organization devoted to the preservation, history, valuation, and academic study of older (pre-1960) investment-quality matchcovers and match books. For 15 years, the club published a 32- to 54-page quarterly matchcover bulletin, a bi-yearly membership roster, provided special custom matchcovers for its members, hosted an annual matchcover swapfest, and facilitated a 600-800 lot quality matchcover auction with each quarterly hard copy bulletin. It was also responsible for the publication of three price guides on matchcover collecting.

Membership in the new on-line AMCC is now available to matchcover and specialty collectors everywhere. Dues are $10/yearly, which gives you access to the Members Only section of this WebSite. This area includes the on-line matchcover auction (TBA), articles on various aspect of the hobby, the match industry and matchcovers themselves, patent information (TBA), a matchcover glossary (ITW), and much more. It also helps to support the maintenance of this site.

...and what are collectors saying about AMCC & The Front Striker Bulletin?

I know your bulletins will give me an education and enable me to trade for the covers that are in my category. Please send your special back issue offer for $40. Also, The Matchcover Collectors Price Guide is very informative and I have reread it three or four times already. It helped steer me in the direction I wish to collect. Art Johnson, Lancaster, PA.

The matchcovers I have received from the AMCC/FSB auctions are BY FAR the best in overall quality. John Spangler, Shawsville, VA
